Christmas wishes – use them online wisely

Not one person knows what makes every other person happier. It is difficult to follow up everyone’s personal interest and purchase gifts for Christmas; especially within two stress factors, we face, i.e. time and budget. Simple way to purchase gifts for everyone that would please them is to leave the choice to them and make a note of the choices. It is simply not possible to email everyone and ask his or her wish list. Using a wish list template and hosting it online using a good website tool would make it easier to update the list. If the list were emailed, then there would be various versions of the wish list, which would create more stress and spare very little time to decide on the gifts to be purchased. Here are few steps to follow to have a Christmas celebration with no stress.

1. Plan early – This is the most basic step to be undertaken. Working people would not have enough time to work on their plans for Christmas. Therefore, it is better to start planning typically before 2 months of Christmas by posting the wish list template.
2. Invite everyone with the new idea – This would make the things much easier. Just inform the friends and relatives that this Christmas would be unique and different and they would join and welcome the new ‘wish list online’ idea.
3. Follow up constantly – After just posting the idea of the wish list online, usually the person forgets it or never follows it up. For example, if friends forgot to post their wishes or they do not participate eagerly, one should follow up with them and call them to get their wishes over the phone. This would encourage everyone to participate effectively and post his or her wishes soon. One other way to encourage is to post a dead line or rush soon. This would make them post their wishes quicker.
4. Plan for budget and use the gift rotation technique – Make sure everyone posts more than one affordable gift item. This would make things easier and decide faster on which one to purchase in a short span of time. One thing that makes the system fail is the constant gift giving technique. That is each cousin must decide on whom, he is going to give gifts or receive gifts and the schedule should change every year. This would make sure, that Lisa is not always stuck giving gifts only to Bob.
